On May 5, 2026, the stage of VK Concerts in Brussels will transform into a space of strength, freedom, and deep emotion. The legendary Ukrainian quartet DakhaBrakha will present their new album Ptakh as part of a major European tour.
DakhaBrakha is more than just music. It is a phenomenon born within the walls of Kyiv’s Dakh Theatre, which has become a symbol of a new Ukraine — bold, independent, and authentic. Their unique style, which the musicians themselves call “ethno-chaos,” blends Ukrainian folk with global rhythms, creating a powerful and unmistakable sound.
The new album Ptakh is more than music. It is a metaphor for freedom, voice, and resilience. It was shaped by the experience of struggle, inner strength, and the support Ukraine receives from around the world. Each composition tells a story that resonates deeply within.
The concert will feature both new tracks and audience favorites: “Sho z-pod duba,” “Vesna,” “Ptakh,” as well as the emotionally powerful “Plyve Choven” — a musical tribute to those who gave their lives for Ukraine.
DakhaBrakha’s live performances are always more than just concerts. They are a synergy of music, theatre, and visual art. The powerful sound is enhanced by video art from Ukrainian artists, creating a fully immersive experience of contemporary Ukrainian reality.
“We speak to the world on behalf of the entire country,” says the band’s frontman, Marko Halanevych. “We thank you for your support, share our pain, and show the beauty of our culture.”
This concert is not just music. It is an experience that stays with you long after the final note.
