On May 6, 2026, Kavka Zappa will host a concert by the Ukrainian band DakhaBrakha as part of their European tour presenting the new album Ptakh.
DakhaBrakha is a globally renowned quartet that originated within the walls of Kyiv’s Dakh Theatre and has become one of the key musical voices of modern Ukraine. Their signature style, “ethno-chaos,” blends authentic Ukrainian folk with rhythms from various cultures around the world, creating a powerful and recognizable sound.
The album Ptakh is a musical reflection on strength, freedom, and resilience. Created over several years, it captures the inner state of the country, its struggle, and the support of the international community. The image of the bird in the album symbolizes a voice that cannot be silenced.
The concert program will feature new compositions alongside some of the band’s most well-known tracks, including “Sho z-pod duba,” “Vesna,” “Ptakh,” and “Plyve Choven.” As always, the performance combines music, theatrical aesthetics, and visual art, creating a deep emotional experience for the audience.
